We support and accommodate our families' needs by providing a safe and nurturing childcare experience. We are actively hiring Lead Preschool Teachers for Head Start, 3K, and UPK classrooms.

The Position:

The Lead Teacher is charged with leading all aspects of curriculum, instruction, family engagement, and classroom health and safety. The Lead Teacher is expected to engage in ongoing learning to strengthen his/her understanding of child development. The Lead Teacher is responsible for promoting the vision for quality early childhood services that anchors the organization.

Responsibilities of Teacher:

• Incorporate developmentally appropriate and best practice strategies within the classroom to ensure rich, meaningful curriculum and instruction
• Structure a learning environment that promotes child health, safety, and confidentiality
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development around early childhood best practices

Requirements of Teacher:

• HS Diploma
• Possesses a solid understanding of development throughout early childhood and has knowledge of how to facilitate learning.
• Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build professional and collaborative relationships with colleagues and members of the community at large.
• Patient and proactive team player, who exhibits flexibility in day-to-day operations and the capacity to deliver formative feedback
• Robust communication skills—both verbal and written
• Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal accountability
• Ability to work within computerized Data Collection Programs (Teaching Strategies Gold)
• Excellent time management skills, understanding how to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Familiarity with the Creative Curriculum
• Ability to actively engage with children, rotating between sitting (in a chair or on the floor with children) and moving amongst the classroom
