We are looking for a highly motivated ( Part-time ) Paraprofessional that loves fostering childhood development. This is an excellent position for aspiring preschool educator. Paraprofessionals (Paras), are responsible for assisting and working independently with 1 child in a classroom under the Teacher's supervision. Classroom Age 3 years old.

Hours are from 3 pm to 5 pm or 4 pm to 6 pm (2 hours per day Mon – Fri)

Responsibilities:

• Understand the goals and objectives outlined in the assigned student's Individualized Education Plan and Behavior Intervention Plan
• Ensure goals are being met. Demonstrate an understanding of the diagnosis of the assigned student and associated challenges
• Writing anecdotal information, as required, and presenting to the classroom teacher.
• Working collaboratively with teaching, clinical and behavioral staff
• Guiding and assisting the student with class routines and in transitioning from one activity to another
• Maintain student supervision at all times, including clinical sessions, classroom transition, transportation periods and field trips
• Reinforcing positive behavior through the use of positive behavior support.

Requirements:

• Experience working with Special Education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High School Diploma

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
