1:1 Paraprofessional

The essential functions for our paraprofessionals are as follows:

• Support teacher’s delivery of daily instruction
• Support teacher’s delivery of differentiated instruction techniques
• Modify curriculum and instruction after consultation with teacher
• Provides corrective feedback to child and re-teach as necessary to ensure that the child have mastered the objectives
• Conducts research, reads professional literature, reflects, in the subject area of the assignment.
• Implements modifications in a child’s education plan.
• Participates in meetings and provides necessary documentation, as requested
• Completes written reports and assigned administrative tasks related to these functions
• And other duties as assigned by Teachers, Assistant Principal or the Principal
• Supervise and assist child during breakfast and lunch periods
• Ensure the safe arrival and dismissal of the child in your care
• Work with child one on one or in small groups
• Lead transitions, activities and recess time to ensure scholars are safe
• Correspond with parents/guardians and families via telephone, email and in person to ensure families are up to date with their scholars academic and social/emotional progress
• Assist with clerical duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional
• Certified Paraprofessional (preferred)
• Crisis Preventative Training; (Preferred) CPI Training; Company will provide training if needed
• Oral and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; personal organization skills
• High School Diploma
